Best Original Song

Andy: It's gotta go to ONCE.  But honestly, weren't there other better songs in other better movies?  Like... Sarah Michelle Gellar's "Teen Horniness is Not a Crime" from her seminal masterpiece SOUTHLAND TALES.  Is that the right usage of the word seminal?

ONCE wins!  Huzzah!  Sitting through the other four shitty songs turned out to be worth it.

Corey: Here it comes. I will truly be mad if Falling Slowly doesn't win. But I promise I will bathe. I was drunk earlier. Well, I still am. John Travolta should have come out as Edna Turnblad.

Predict: Falling Slowly

Winner: FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know exclamation points can be annoying so I'll stop.

So Close (ENCHANTED)

Corey: I love Jon McLaughlin. If he was actually nominated I'd want him to win. I hope he isn't too nervous. BTW I walked him to his dressing room at CBS.

Oh, its just like the movie. And he is just as hot as ever. Too bad he's married.

Andy: And now Patrick Dempsey -- who looks like a douche bag I knew from high school for some reason -- presenting another ENCHANTED song.

Best Foreign Film

Andy: Penelope Cruz with Best Foreign Film.

I choose... THE COUNTERFEITERS from Austria.

Got it!

Corey: I knew it. Because Penelope is foreign.

Predict: Well I will say The Counterfiters.

Win: Hey, I can't spell it but it won. I probably won't see it but I love Nazis.

Honorary Oscar

Andy: Nicole Kidnumnum with... no card in her hand.  Oh, it's a tribute to Robert Boyle.  I'm sure he's a swell guy.  A good production designer, at that.

Best Film Editing

Corey: I fucking called it. Renee looked pretty and I have to pee.

I Predict: That I'm drunk. And I'll say Bourne Ultimatum. It has won two so far.

Won: Bourne Ultimatum. I can't believe it but it has won 3 Oscars.

Andy: Jack Nicholson with... EVERY BEST PICTURE EVER MADE.  What the fuck?

And now Renee Zelwegger (UT alum) with -- OPEN YOUR EYES WHEN YOU'RE TALKING TO ME -- Best Film Editing.

I pick... THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

Fucking BOURNE ULTIMATUM again?  Jesus Christ.

Falling Slowly (ONCE)

Andy: Alright, the one song that might be worth a damn.

Yep, it's good.  It better win.  I need to see this goddamn movie.

The song is making me emotional.  But it might also be the beer.

Corey: I love this movie and this song! I hope this wins. Everyone should see this movie!

Its just as beautiful as it was in the film. If it doesn't win than I won't bathe for 2 weeks.

Best Actress

Corey: Wow I can't believe it is already here.

I predict: Ellen Page (I know, I know but I think that the two who have won the most so far will split the vote...if not then Julie Christie actually deserves it.)

Winner: I was wrong but I'm truly excited! This is who I thought should win and she did!!!!!!! She is so pretty but you would have no idea if you saw the film.

Andy: Holy shit, already at Best Actress.  Forest Whitaker and his lazy eyelid are presenting.

I'm gonna have to predict... Julie Christie for her performance in AWAY FROM HER.   Laura Linney got nominated?  Really?

And the Oscar goes to... this is kinda tense...  Marion Cotillard for LA VIE EN ROSE.  I really want to see it.

Best Sound Mixing

Andy: I predict... TRANSFORMERS.

The "winner is"... THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM again.  I swear to God, the only people that vote are producers' wives.

Corey: I can't wait to see Pineapple Express.

Predict: Bourne Ultimatum (I'm just going off of the last winner. I still think Transformers should win.)

Winner: Hey I was right. Bourne Ultimatum. I can't believe a film like this can be called an Oscar winning film. But if Transformers would have won I would think the same.

Best Sound Editing

Corey: This is a much better surprise. I love these kids. They actually do look exactly the same. I bet Judi Dench is dry as fuck.

Predict: Transformers  (really it should win)

Winner: Bourne Ultimatum (didn't see it...I'm sure it was wonderful sound editing)

Andy: Dame Judi Dench and Halle Berry take the stage... or so Jon said they would.  It's fuckin' Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen.  Jonah's got a Halle Berry vibe, I agree.

I predict... THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

The Oscar goes to... THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM.  Shitty movie!

That's How You Know (ENCHANTED)

Andy: Hannah Montana is presenting a muscial performance from ENCHANTED.  Am I really not going to like any of the songs this year?  Maybe the one from ONCE will be good.

Why can't they just nominate Eminem again?  Even if he didn't have a song in a movie, just let him do his thing.

Corey: Miley Cyrus I hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I love Kristin Chenoweth! Glinda forever! I can't wait for Pushing Daisies to come back. She sings way better than Amy Adams (sorry to state the obvious). I think she could be wearing a more vibrant color for this number.

This was my second favorite song from Enchanted. If anything wins it should be So Close. I can't wait for Jon McLaughlin.
